• ROLE OF IMPERIALISM ON THE ISSUES OF SYSTEMIC RACISM: WHY BLAME MIGRANTS FOR THE CRISIS OF IMPERIALISM?

  Systemic racism and discrimination continue to infect countries and societies around the world suffering from the intensifying crisis of imperialism, including the discrimination and exclusionary impacts on migrants and refugees. The current uprisings around the world against the murders of black people in the U.S. such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery by both state forces and racist vigilantes demonstrate the persisting and systemic problem of racism in countries like the United States.

• Deportation of 78 Malians from Equatorial Guinea: Mali demands an explanation

  78 Malians were deported Sunday from Equatorial Guinea to Bamako. Officially, the Equatorial Guinean authorities affirm that they were undocumented immigrants. But according to the Malian Association for Deportees, many of those deported had legal documentation. Malian authorities have stated that they do not understand the deportations and demand an explanation from the Equatorial Guinean authorities.

  Mos Maiorum is yet another battle in the war the EU has waged against an imaginary enemy.

  Between 13 and 26 October, police forces of the Member States of the European Union (EU) are to conduct massive control operations both within the Schengen area and at its external borders. A week after the commemoration of the tragedy of Lampedusa in October 2013, a “hunt on migrants” operation dubbed ‘Mos Maiorum’ is to be launched in collaboration with Frontex and Europol.
